In 1941 the Ladies' Home Journal, adopted the slogan, "Never Underestimate the Power of a Woman." On March 18, 1970, about 100 feminists staged an 11-hour sit-in at the New York City offices of Ladies' Home Journal demanding an all-female staff, equal pay, and on-site daycare. The protest resulted in a compromise where the magazine agreed to hire more women, establish on-site daycare, and allow activists to produce a special section on women's liberation in the August 1970 issue. I believe the tee was made around this time and unfortunately have not been able to find more details on it, this is really special piece of woman's history!!
